I walked into a room
And then the fire started to ignite
Inside my friends drank and began to consume
The perils of social life they sure were polite
the fire caught the first pillar of my friends room
As it fell all the broken came to be to hard to ignore
the truth was gone and lies covered the floor
The second pillar fell, I saw into my fellow man
Asked them to take a stand by my side and help me
The solidarity was gone, and nobody wanted to be my best man
The third pillar fell, the smoke made it hard to see
hard to see the beauty in the exgirlfriends standing here
flames covered the faces I had once come to endear
Now all 3 pillars were gone and the roof caved in
Squashing these random people who I once knew
but now had come to quickly forget as a has been
And I walked away with a smile knowing isolation would ensue

Sadly I feel it, but not the smile.
