===============================

After the river of life turned crimson
bless the curse of a divine stick
conquered such misery from flying insects
the city of slaves’ metamorphed to a rotten corpse.

The homely shut their shutters,
some sheltered draped with thick cloth,
while those craving such measures,
infested the infested gutters.

With nothing of it to drink,
none save from the evil of disease,
the life blood of the nation was a commodity extinct.
Lo! Only through the will of the savior could calamity cease.

The tyrant paced the passages of his abode,
regretting only the stubbornness of his brother,
not his pride, which erode,
the life of his only heir, besides whom rained a mother.

" Why? Oh why brother of mine can thou not forfeit this false faith?"
he said, with an ego unfiltered.
The brother, the Lord's chosen, answered:
" My brother false are thou. Righteous is my GOD, a true faith His faith."

The tyrant would not pay heed,
his pride sheltered him from the truth,
'Even my magicians,' he thought, 'could perform miraculous deeds.'
Alas! They remained unable to save his dying youth.

" Thou, my brother, will never succeed," his voice thundered,
" I will exile from life all who believe, those who preach,
each and every mortal who was accomplished in this blunder."
"On my life I take this oath, my word I'd never breach."

The tyrant honored his oath,
until he followed the blessed into the parted river.
The cryptic barriers collapsed while he loathed.
Dawned upon the impending wrath, his body gave a final shiver.
