Since I was pitted against the evils,
And doomed to chase them,
Across the caverns of my mind,
I traced their every step.

I have been behind them,
For so long that I lost my motives,
Yet an unknown feeling,
Of disgust, distrust and despise,
Fuels me against them.

They taunt me as I proceed,
They set traps for me in every step,
They wait for the moment,
When the darkness falls,
And engulfs the land for claim.

I‘ve lost but all that would concern me,
Yet I cannot forfeit,
As I hope for the nearing end,
I hope for the evils vanishing abyssal,
And my one final triumph.

So why is it that,
I shudder the moment for it to end,
As the chase nears a halt,
My feet began to tremble,
In the fear of impuzzlement.

I fear the time is near,
When I will catch up on the evils,
And the judgment will befall me,
And I would lie speechless,
For I would have no answer.

I can do nothing,
But ponder my fate,
As I pray for strength,
For I have to mourn,
For a doomed eternity.

Catching up with and defeating one's evils is one of the most difficult things a person can do. Facing judgment for them is even more difficult. This is a very deep and thought provoking write. Thanks you.
