[hometext] => Written after watching the TV show Dexter
[bodytext] => Am I seen by their eyes, Do my stories mask the living lies, The words come forth from my larynx, Boldly elaborating an experience; Dancing the words to match their movements, Careful not to sidestep with rudeness, Continuing on as the beat pulses, Can’t exhaust even though the thought repulses Playing their game to please and thrill Making them feel a connection still A breath of freedom while they take a drink Engaged in Eden they think But in my minds depths I am unable to catch my breath Swimming toward the shore frantic for ground But remains the mumbling and mimicking sounds Their need for rhythm, rhyming, timing, And I am just surviving In their lonely fake world Waiting for my schemes to be unfurled.
