I wish I could just worry about what game I wanna play,
But times have changed,
And I had to grow up.

Now I find myself,
Asking questions on why my life is the way it is.
Is this a mid life crisis,
Or just a nightmare?

I miss the simplicity.
I miss the curiosity in the little things.
Why is the sky blue?
Where do the birds go in winter?

I'm tired of the questions,
That seem to lack an answer.
Where is my life leading?
Will the storm in my heart pass?

I'm lost in the dark clouds.
I don't know the next place to try.
All I have left for me,
Are the pieces of my broken heart.

All I know,
Are what the world has taught me.
All I fear,
Is everything else.

A single tear falls down my cheek.
In the pain, I fail to find what it is I seek. you write it very well, your thinking are just like mine I use to think like that sometimes. Your thoughts to words, and words to poem is pure and beautiful..
I like the way you express...though its pain but you did it very well.

The storm will always pass, though the darkness does not always lift, in which case one must learn to see in the dark.

keep writing.

always, abraham

Beautiful poem; I think we all can relate at some point in our lives to this. Very nicely written. I hope you do find what you seek and things brighten up.

Things come and go, and sometimes questions are answered and sometimes they are not. The lives we live are not always our own. but there is stiil time to find those answers that you seek.
