Array ( [sid] => 16311 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Knight [time] => 2003-04-20 22:05:00 [hometext] => [This poem is based on the original poem 'Lady', just to try out a parallel. If you haven't read 'Lady' please read that one first, I think that one's better, but what do you think?] [bodytext] => Softly now doth the wind blow though thine hair,
Sweeping it back and revealing thine strong and confident features, tempered with love.
A lost ray of sunshine lights up the shadows of thine face,
And the creases of burden and worry silently fade.
A secret smile brings a look of youth and innocence to thine shining eyes.

Kindness radiates from thine very being,
Nobility has a way with thee,
That makes all around ye,
That breath and dance beneath the endless skies,
Surrender to the long-sought joy of security in thine warm embrace.

Thou art as the sun that melts the mountain snows,
That warms the frosty air and soaks up the dreary rain.
Thou art the great oak tree, wise and strong with experience,
That spreads its leafy canopy to shield the delicate flowers from the autumn storms.
And thou art as fearless as the mighty stallion that defies the snarling puma,
A pillar of hope, strength, trust, goodness, and unwavering loyalty,
Throughout the cold and lonely nights.

Thine presence be dearer to me,
Than the most enchanting dream.
Thine words, truthful and caring,
Tell me that I can trust ye, and sets my skin afire.
Beloved Knight of mine!
Thine rich laughter be like that of the spring thaws,
That rushes down the icy water rapids
To join the trout that leap to celebrate the renewal of life,
Yet ye surpass them all,
For ye charmest me, and thine eyes,
Sincere, honorable, yet wise and loving as a dolphin that gazes into the heart,
They could hold me still and unmoving,
Whilst the world around us fell apart at the end of the Ages,
And yet, all I would do,
Is wonder,
Marvel,
Lost,
Lost in those dreamy pools,
And regret a second,
Nay, I could not,
I could never.
