Remember all the wars
Sending shivers down your spine
Will you ever touch peace?
Or will they go on through time?
Remember all the people
That have died for you
Remember all your friends
Be it present or past
All the ones hurt before you
And the ones that didn't last
Remember all the people
That have been there for you
Remember all your family
And all that they've done
Your parents that brought you to this earth
And the many battles they have won
Remember all the people
That will never leave you
You must say you appreciate
What the people have done for you
And you will give back all you can
Because it's the least you can do

A timely reminder for all of us - I think sometimes we do forget to appreciate what others have done for us and the people in our lives we take for granted.
Thank you Chris for reminding us. A well thought out piece.
