We grieve

Contributed by TommyKing5 on Thursday, 21st October 2010 @ 01:57:35 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I wonder what it is like to lose a loved one?
The pain,
The suffering,
all out of this world, nothing to match it.
Be it a parent, friend, child or wife, the pain seems forever endless,
people may say to 'get over it', but truly, you can't.

Love is strong, we humans can bond to anyone, but what happens when that is gone?
Only suffering lies in our wake.
For we cry and cry, but all those tears shed can't bring whomever is gone, back.

Even in death, the loved one lives strongly in our hearts.
At the time of demise, God seems like the enemy, when in fact, he is our greatest ally; we can't lose hope, or we too will be dead.

I haven't lost anyone, but when I do, I'll be ready.

Ready to drown,
in tears.

We get angry, we cry, we scream, we grieve...
Thanks for that writing. It touched me in so many ways.

I enjoy writing that gets the mind working and your writing did that. A process of time belonging to each individual that varies in how long one shall grieve. I really liked this. Well done.
