One Person

Contributed by DrcGaimer on Thursday, 7th October 2010 @ 09:09:54 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Love is a venture, a dare, yes even a risk.
As we expose ourselves to a complete stranger,
in hopes of finding some common ground to build upon.

We seek that person, that one person, who is willing to know us.
Whom over time will come to appreciate our strengths and forgive our weaknesses.
That person who is willing to build with us today and beyond.

We seek an exchange, for love is to be given and received.
A sharing of our time, thoughts, emotions, and eventually our self.

With this one person, we seek to go forward.
Together overcoming the pitfalls of life, whatever they maybe.
Knowing that with this one person, we are loved, respected, and valued.
Never again longing for anyone else.

One person can make a world of difference.

Amen. Having had a very recent experience from someone who did and has made a world of difference to me, I relate to this a lot. Very nicely worded.

Thank you.

Tim

Nice work.
"We seek an exchange, for love is to be given and received."
^I find that line so inspirational!

there is always a person that make you think the world is only for you both and you be happy and you don't need anything else....
