[title] => My Poem Top America
[time] => 2002-08-02 20:26:44
[hometext] => I wrote this on the 13th of September and my mom took it to a candle lighting. The mayor read it, and made me read it to everyone. It was beautiful.
[bodytext] => "All circuits are busy"
Came a voice on the phone. He lay dying beneath Rubble, Trying to reach home. Aspestis in his throat, Ashes in his eyes. There had once been a Building, In which thousands have died. He thinks of his wife, He'll miss her so much. Even if he is rescued, He'll be paralyzed to her touch. He loves his Girls, He had wanted to watch them grow. He hopes and he wishes for rescue, But the lines are busy, so no one knows. He prays for a miracle, But can't move much at all. What kind of person would do this? Who'd make the Towers fall? His life is being sapped from him, He tries to call once more, There is no connection and He knows that it means WAR. As He drifts to eternal sleep, He whispers all alone, GOD BLESS AMERICA, My Home, Sweet Home! And all through New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania too, Condolences are heard, and America, We Weep For You.
