I once thought it was time to breathe my last breath.

I once thought it was time to bring my life to an end.

I once thought, my soul, to God I should send.

How do I know that tomorrow the sun will not rise,

If today, with a knife, I bring my demise.

How do I know that tomorrow the clouds will not fade,

If today, In God's hands, my soul is laid.

Life is not easy, and life is not fair,

These trials and troubles, in this world we all share,

And we all have a purpose, and a burden to bare.

So, we must endure this life, with it's ups and downs,

We must endure this life, bare the smiles and frowns.

I know in this world, my work is not done,

To live my life, I have not yet begun.

Tears I will shed, and sacrifices I will make,

But neither today, nor tomorrow, my life I will take.

I will walk the path that God has chosen for me,

And one day in heaven, from troubles, my soul will be free.
