All things will come to an end sooner or later,
Flowers open and fruits ripen,
Trees become bare as their leaves fall
Youth is lost and old age catches up with one and all,
Caterpillars won't be forever,
Along the way we may lose those we treasure,
tic toc tic toc..an hour is lost, open your eyes the stars do not shine,
The tide is high, the tide is low
Through passing phases lost is the moon that glows,
A storm moves in only to soon go,
The cycle of life is constantly moving,
A daughter to a mother,a son to a father,
Couples no longer love each other,
Life won't last forever,
All things will come to an end sooner or later. A beautiful poem about the idea that nothing lasts - to me, it also has a sense of regret at the endless passing of things around us. But the poem also expresses the delicate beauty of things so easily missed and forgotten. I really love this - everything is so brilliantly put.
