Thinking I was failing. I wanted to touch the lives of others, But appeared unavailing. I decided to finally give up, Thinking I could never win. You were just too difficult to get through to, I couldn't find the "you" within. It seemed you wouldn't let me by That ever so tall and sturdy wall. As to how you could hold everything back Has kept me very well enthralled. But there came the day you proved me wrong, By voicing how you feel. You were always one of very few words, I must admit, it was surreal!!! Just when I'd decided to give up, You decided to give in. You realized we needed each other, and we needed to know the "Us" within. In doing so, you've helped me, Not only in a "Me" sense... But you've helped me to help you, Climb over your defense. I'm glad I could be here, To do for you what you've done for me. To shine a guiding light, and piece together our debris.
