because i can still feel you with me,
you made me the best i ever was,
but that was something i couldn't see.
i can still hear you laughing,
i can still remember your smile,
as you're once again walking out the door,
saying you'll be back in a little while.
and the dirty looks i gave you still haunt me,
the mean words burn my tongue,
part of what stopped me from loving you again,
is that you were to damn young,
and it was complicated,
when i was given an ultimatum,
i just couldn't figure out what to do,
should i have listened to my head,
or trusted my heart,
i knew either way,
everything would have fallen apart,
still i couldn't keep my eyes off of you,
every time you walked into the room,
b/c your touch burned my skin,
and i tingled within,
a boy had never given me butterflies,
until your hand touched my skin... [comments] => 2 [counter] => 190 [topic] => 48 [informant] => pinkunicornoctober [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 7 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

*sigh* You really have found things difficult to overcome. I'm not sure if this follows on from the others but if does, then I'm truly sorry for your loss. From what I read, you still find it difficult to forget this guy. You write:
Should I have listened to my head or trusted my heart.
I would have suggested your heart because you clearly loved him, from all accounts, and yet somehow something kept you back.
Another touching write, I think they're great! Keep 'em coming, Chris.

very nice write, touches close to home with me just reversed roles, you have captured and expressed what i am unable to do at the pressent time within my own situation. practically everything you have shared here is what i longed to say to the one i love and am currently losing. thank you for giving me some slight insight to my own self feelings. may we both get the ones we love and miss back in our lives once again.
