To view the birth of day
As you lay upon the sand
Your mind begins to stray

The alluring giant
Unlike you he ever sleeps
Beckons you to come forth
And gaze in into its deep

Cool water covers your toes
A gull takes to air
The beach is yours alone
There is no need to share

Further now it calls to you
Gentle are my waves
For a child could venture out
Without the strength of brave

Past the knees and past the hips
The water welcomes you
Deeper yet the giant pleads
You will feel the power too

Under the waves you dive down
Wonders do unfold
Creatures of all the colors
Beauty of never told

The giant smiles with glee
Each time that you dive
The splendor unseen from above
In the deep they thrive

For what seems like hours
The giant guides you true
Past all of creation
That you never knew

As you turn to bid farewell
And thank you to your host
You see the sand were you perch
Isnt quite so close

You have been deceived by the best
As many have before
Captured by this temptation
Pulled far from the shore

As the land begins to shrink
The waves start to swell
The giant who gently spoke
Now begins to yell

Water crashes over you
As you cough and choke
And as you swim you lose ground
With every single stroke

Tired now can fight no more
The giant pulls you near
The deep I shall show you
Nothing more to fear

Faster now you descend
The world begins to fade
As water fills your lungs
You know you were betrayed

Deeper yet and further down
Till you reach the deep
Because the giant never does
Forever must you sleep

As you give in to the dark
This is your last day
Then you release your soul
In the deep you will stay

I once wrote a poem on the ocean. This is very interesting and well written.
