but as i reach age i've come to learn it was by dancing pole to pole,
When i was young you seemed so supportive,
but as i get older ive realized it wasnt true,
all you've done is thought of you.

You ruined my childhood,
guy to guy, house to house,
you saw it all, you caused it all.

I cried every night,
you saw your son get beat,
you saw the mess you threw at both of our feet.

You saw the hurt in our eyes,
and some how , someway it all seemed to fix,
but when it did it's only because you were seeing someone else,
you packed up all of our things and didn't even allow for goodbyes.

You moved us to a different house,
where we learned of the new man in your life,
you hurt me more than a million knives.

He touched me mom, how can't you see,
you were right there,
sitting there,
watching me scream and cry.

How could you break your children,
when all you've ever said was that we were what mattered,
don't you remember?

How can you smile,
when all we could do was cry,
how could you live, making us live with all of these guys.

I love you though you've hurt me bad,
you changed my life, all of the things i could've done and had.

I'll never fully forgive you for breaking me,
just remember mom,
i'll never forgive how you did this all,
i'll never forget the lies,
you will never be innocent, not now, not ever in my eyes. Very powerfiul and thought provoking piece indeed.
Feels somehow like you never really had chance to have a childhood.
Sorry for that, I can't really imagine what it must have been like.

Steve
