Beautiful Nature's Bliss

Contributed by Avataar on Tuesday, 31st August 2010 @ 08:10:18 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Quietly I sit beneath the trees,
And let nature talk to me with it's breeze,
My heart that was lonely is now filled,
with a companion in the form of the wind.

The air is filled with humidity and mist,
The dampness feels like a gentle kiss;
raindrops fall from the towering trees;
It is a sight that can only please.

A deep breath I take and fill my being;
With the sweet smell of wet mud and grass so green;
My eyes are closed but yet I see;
Nature working in such harmony.

The raindrops falling resonate through the leaves;
Erase all the noises in my head and leave me at ease;
The sound of rain water joining the creek,
takes away every thought that made me weak.

My feet I dip in the cold running water;
Only to find my hardened heart turn softer;
O beautiful beautiful nature's bliss!
How could I have missed all this?

This is cool and soothing and so well constructed. Love the way it rhymes, nature makes you feel so at ease and with this piece I could feel at ease while reading. Nice one.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
