[bodytext] => From the view of a stranger, you might well inquire Why I have chose such a path without hope or desire When you see me in doorways, sheltering from wind and rain It's from the elements I take refuge but it once was the pain I've traversed hills and forest, through countryside I know not the names of the towns in which I reside Now life cannot touch me, I no longer feel hurt My riches are gone and my palaces of dreams have crumbled in the dirt I have toughened my skin and hardened my bones to the cold But my heart is now young, though my face may seem old Earthly possession were not easy to discard Yet the further I walk the road seems less hard Though my legs are acheing and my feet are bleeding Life on the move is my kingdom of freedom The blessing of nature when the sun rises each day Is affirmation indeed to keep heading my way I need not knowledge or power nor either my health For the peace I have gained is in knowing myself.
