Sex and Love

Contributed by Daniellemarie on Wednesday, 25th August 2010 @ 11:52:17 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

The moment I walked in to the bar that night
your eyes were quick to strike me down.
Awkward as it was while we indulged in reminiscence.
I was in a strange place in my life, a strange
co incidence it was running in to you again.
I introduced you to my brother and had to
snort a pill in the bathroom just to relax
while I was around you. We shared drinks
and laughs and little did I know that this
was the beginning of our end. It was cold
outside in the dead of winter, but the drugs
and the whiskey kept me quite warm. Your
gaze upon me made me blush in a way only
you can make happen. When the nights
festives were coming to it's end you asked
for my number and ofcourse I gave it.
When I left the pub I told myself that boy
is going to be the one who breaks my
little heart in half. Like the masochist I
am I invited you right in you split me in to
two and you enjoyed every minute of it.
When it came to you I would have let
you take me in church on sunday mass.
You never got tired, I never got tired of you
any which way and anywhere we made love.
we did it at partys where the host Specifically told us
"don't go in my parents bedroom" Naughty we were
kicking our pants off before we lied down on that
king sized bed. I would sneak you out my back
door right before my father would wake up for
work. Someone once told me that there is a
difference between sex and love. in the end
it was just sex for you.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
