Pictures they are broken
Frames, now shattered glass
Violent words, we have spoken
Memories, in the past

Scars left on my shoulder
Bruises on my face
Screams now just echoes
In this haunted place

Beaten and broken
I’m trying to fight it all
You left me standing on shattered glass
I’m trying on my own not to fall

The blood stained t-shirt
Mascara on my face
Shaking hands, a trembling body
A haunted, empty space

I couldn’t fight you
I couldn’t scream
And I couldn’t run
And be unseen

Because wherever I went
There you’d be
With a license to kill
Running after me

I lost you in the shadows
I lost you in the dark
You’re still running
While I’m stuck here with every mark

That you left me on my shoulder
On my face, on my arm
But you are gone now
And can do me no more harm.

Only in my dreams
You can get me
Only in those screams
You can hear me.

You’ve just left me haunted.

Hauntingly well done
I like the way it flows.

This had a great flow. I loved especially: "Shaking hands, a trembling body, a haunted, empty space." Very visual.
