Staying up late at night,
Trying to memorize our scripts for tomorrow.
But what if we forget a line?
What if we stumble, trip?
And our costume..
What if it's not good enough?
Our mask..
What if the perfectly painted smile fades away?
Safe inside our shells we hide.
Put on our show,
Hope for a good crowd.
Another big day today.
Don't mess up.
Pressure's on.
Everyone's watching.
Never skip a beat.
Never let them see the real you.
Just the censored you.
Because you're too afraid.
The real you doesn't have a script.
The real you doesn't have a costume.
The real you doesn't have a mask.
THE REAL YOU ISN'T PERFECT.
And the very idea terrifies you. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 190 [topic] => 43 [informant] => sodapopsuicide [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Yes this is all quite true....we have so much to gain when we drop the masks...take a chance. Then we know who really cares and who is the actor.
Great write,
Sharon:)
