so many times an empty canvas.
So close to touch perfection
it seemed so far away.

Tears you never saw a sign
broken in a way you never knew.
Fragile in all the strength shown
severed in a way that kept whole.

So close to when I was a child
and only myself to blame
even if never anyone to fault
the pain still remains the same.

My harmful heart bears the shame
that never was it's to have.
Yours to keep without seeing
holding sacred something wrongly.

Always what is needed
in spite of what is wanted.
Cold in my own darkness
alone without all the light.

Left wishing on an empty night staring where a darkened moon once was.

So much of what we carry as ourselves affects those around us without them knowing why, well written
