[title] => Manic Streets And High Rise Towers.
[time] => 2010-08-07 03:08:26
[hometext] => A snap shot of life in inner city London in the 1970's.
[bodytext] => These houses are like match boxes Flimsy standing in a row, Looking up at the high rise blocks that look down At the people rushing to and fro, All hurrying to within themselfs Behind their own front doors That in their thickness hide The pimps, the pushers and the whores. The old man in his basement flat Can still remember the days When the streets outside were safe to walk And people kind and polite in their ways. And in a dingy bed sit A young girl sits and sighs Staring blankly at the cradle Where her screaming baby lays. And in a seedy back street pub Just sitting at the bar Is a broken winded young man Who's habit has gone too far, He nods at me I shake my head And I turn around to go Back to matchbox house on the manic street Where the high rise towers glow.
