To defy what the Fates have woven
When want is unending, forever
But the thread by no means unbroken

Stood atop mountains of you
To feel the wind gods can feel
I cannot abandon a once was
But just isn’t quite anymore

Mistakes, words, actions
Conflicts of humanity and error
Given fire, burnt down towns
But I don’t want an empty valley

A shift, a collapse, a change of air
As natural as the earth, amoral
And accommodation of change
Makes a people immortal

From the Olympian clouds down,
Surely we look like fools
And I a worthy occupant of Hades
But your little glass orbs
All I care for is what they say of me

Judge me whilst living
Send me off where I belong
As plainly as all can see

Or reach out as we always have
To defy the Fates and a hundred eyes
To act as gods while human

Accounting for blurry reflection in a pond
That never a self can love quite true
Willing to call the world a lie
To hold onto some part of you [comments] => 2 [counter] => 267 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Chamaron [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )
