I walk alone, I guess that's fine
Walked for so long, got left behind
Walked for so long, got left behind

Maybe I'll find,
somewhere in time
Maybe I'll see things
Through my mind's eye
And if I go,
What will I see?
Am I to know,
Who I will be?

A memory in the distance
An empty thought, a lost essence
As seasons turn, to fade
I see my life slip away

Shadow is my state of mind
Help me to see, for I must be blind
I've been alone, all through the night
Help me to walk now, into the light!

Maybe I'll find,
somewhere in time
Maybe I'll see things
Through my mind's eye
And if I go,
What will I see?
Am I to know,
Who I will be?

And when I dream
It's not my dream
And when I see
It's not through me
And when I talk
It's not my voice
There's no control
I have no choice!
I'm all alone
There's no one else
Not even me
I can't find myself
Cuz in the light
You can see it all
But in the darkness
Is where you fall!

I like this, the words are well laid out and seem to sing from the page, well done.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
