Empty pain, forgotten gain, constant rain,
Fretful tears, mishandled years, darkened fears
Weakened soul, unending hole, empty bowl

Then………

Ray of light, find some fight, hold on tight
Give a bit, start to fit, let go of it
Open eyes, joyful cries, sadness dies

Then……..

Heart on sleeve, I believe, relax and breath
Making plans, holding hands, wedding bands
Giving all, standing tall, feeling sure

Then……..

Cracks appear, down a gear, familiar fear
Feared day, slipping away, please stay
Unearthed lies, last goodbyes, cutting ties

Then……..

Old skin, nightmares begin, lights dim
Same old, no one to hold, growing cold
Faded dreams, ripped seams, sadness beams

Then……..

Flicker of light, in sight, hold tight

The peaks and troughs of life illustrated for all to see here.
I like the way you handled this.
