her long hair
brushed the back pockets
of her jeans.
Un-split ends
danced on denim
like fragile legs
of wispy spiders.

She; my fantasy
since young, school-
plaited days.

A million dreams later
my time had come,
to ask,
get near
and maybe
one day stroke
those tempting locks.

But... I lost her
in the busy crowd.

Day dreams dashed,
I saw my hairless reflection
bob along glass shop windows,
like a speeding moon...

and I cried inside
for long lost heads;
adorned with hair.

This poem bought me back to high school and having those same feelings. It's those little things that we see in that person. It's those little things that everyone surpasses. You write with outstanding imagery. Thanks for taking me there.
