with lines on my face,
we tried to keep running,
but you need to fly,
more than I,
Your vibrancy defeats me,
a trip of dreams,
some stained, some lived,
Some too far, some too old,
magic touched us momentarily and left us with the night,
like a passing storm littered with sparkling stars,
each one a memory, a place, a smile,
an innocent start ,like the fresh fields fade,
who knows the outcome, its meandering ways,
Expectation and beating hearts,
and words of poisoned sugared darts,
and different trains collide on track,
with swollen souls now blue and black,
when all we searched for was a home,
for something we had never known,
a place to break the lonely cold,
where evil distance took a hold,
and choked the breathe of hope within,
permeating from our skin,
surviving on a single thread,
injected with the words we said,
but did they come from fertile beds?
or was coercion king instead?
Salt and tounge combust again,
a rendevous, a timeless friend,
the nights is cruel,
and silence rips to shreds,
a million synapses,
waiting to be led,
whatever it takes,
wherever it breaks,
love has torn us apart,
If nothing else I know ive held the inside of your heart.
