[bodytext] => Behind eyes that dance in sleep, where thoughts of home and heart are one
Through yellow grass and sweeping plains,I walk with dreams held to the sun
Waters flow with tales of old, through mountains, the voice of loving friends
Mossy banks hold precious moments,as time moves and rivers bend

~Great Spirit~
Many turns of a silver horse, away across the changing miles
There is one of rainbow colours, all beautiful, with many smiles
I have named her Takoda ~friend to everyone~
This gentle spirit, with heart of fire,is strength for everyone
Of the critters and the land,Takoda speaks the words
As one with tender hand, she heals and is heard
Many know this woman, some in silence watch and learn
Her wisdom circles many miles, and I am wiser in its turn

~Great Spirit~
Know my pleasures,as you take me to my land
Across the many miles,so I may give with open hand
I offer to my sister, the rainbow of friendship, and my time
And I give thanks to you Great Spirit, for these many days of mine
Watch for her in waking,in dreams guide her to the ones
Who are the rain, the clouds and stars, the critters and the sun
For they are of her soul and just as all these will always be
Takoda,~friend to everyone~ will always find a friend in me [comments] => 4 [counter] => 227 [topic] => 16 [informant] => lovingwhispers [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FriendshipPoetry )

Oh My dear daughter over the pond.
I'm at a loss for the proper words to broaden, and enlighten this loving poem you've written for me.
What a honor to be honored by such a lovely poet as thee!
I love the Indian name, may I adopt it dear?
I must repond by penning these words of wisdom to you.
"It takes one to know one" You have a heart of gold melting each and every heart and soul.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
Warm love
Takoda........

Hi again,

Ahhh! Now I know who I'm addressing and now
I know why I'm attracted to your writings.

May your sharp mind guide your pen, Takoda!

Tommy
