These were my last writes

And then life happened

It was so long ago
And yet so recent

So painful
And yet
So far away now

It is hard now to conceptualize
Who and where I was then
And reconcile it with the now

I am so connected to the past emotionally
And so separated from it temporally

That I can’t remember where the pain and bleeding ended
And the healing began

So I will continue along
Back on course

On the curvilinear deviation
From my planned trajectory
Spiraling out of control in three dimensions

In a relative sense

These days I find myself
Longing for the comforts of the past
With the benefits of knowledge gained over time
And I realize that
It is a fantasy

I want to be younger again

I want to correct those mistakes

But time has passed

And all that is left is regret.

Perhaps if there is a God
My arrogance might be forgiven

But it does not diminish my pain
Or heal those I have hurt

Welcome to the new revolution.

this is a brilliant piece of writing, the words
jump off the page with emotion and so much
honesty. I certainly can relate to this. many
thanks for sharing. look forward to more.

Damn. This is unbelievably impeccable! So poetically
emotional, with a potency that completely awakens
the spirit. Inward restoration is a tricky task. So much
of what you wrote here touches an intrinsic part of the
soul. And somehow it is comforting to read from the
heart of someone else. Thank you for sharing this.

Exquisite writing. -- Achelois
