You look so peaceful
So innocent and young
You don't know about the world outside
And what the future might become
Every song that I sing
Every story I read too
Just makes me realise
How much that I love you
You will never come to harm
In my arms
As the years pass
You will understand why
That I will always protect you
Until the day I die
All the hatred and anger
All the wars out there
Just makes me realise
How much I really care
You will never be alarmed
In my arms
Forever you have a friend
For a lifetime I'm here
Whenever you get scared
I'll wipe away your fear
Everytime I see your face
Whenever I hold your hand
Just makes me realise
How lucky I really am
You will always feel calm
In my arms
You will always be safe in my arms
All you need to know
Is that as you grow
You will always be safe in my arms
And if the years are kind
You will forever find
That you'll always be safe in my arms

this made me think of my mother, ive been away from her for over 9months now. ive been in rehab for awhile now, and this made miss her terribly. it was beautiful.
