A Medical Ordeal

Contributed by Sushila on Wednesday, 14th July 2010 @ 11:18:02 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Strange thoughts run through my mind
No matter how brave I try to be.
Words to curb my fear I try to find
But there are none to convince me.

Shall I go ahead with my decision
And leave everything in His hands?
Faith I must have in the physician
Whose repute is known to all he tends.

How scared I feel on seeing the knife
My family I have not told them yet.
This operation is a must to save my life
They comfort me with their eyes wet.

Deep inside within me I could hear
A soothing voice saying He is near.
Do not worry child and face the test
As I am the Doer and know what is best.

BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO Roses at your bedside dear. I've had surgery 8 time in my lifetime. Oh how scared I was each time, but I learned, there's no need to fret. Your Loving Heavenly Father will not forget...........you and will guide your surgeons hands, for sure.
Well put together, dear Sushila, and made with much meaning. This was a splendid poem, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
