Earth

Earth

The world lies in endless mysteries.
The Earth, the giver and taker of life.

The sun sets slowly over the water’s horizon.
The wind sweeps over the water’s surface.

Colors of red and blue spread afar over the horizon, all to fade with time.
The stars shine brightly overhead, just out of reach.
Skies of bright blue lay out overhead.

Waves reach the beach’s surface.
The world is a fearful place.
Giant red sparks fly, as another volcano bursts.

More sparks fly, as another gun ignites, as another bomb
explodes. As another war comes and goes, history repeats, yet again.
From the dew that quenches the land, to the sand that parches the desert,
the Earth remains the same.

From the snow covered mountains, to the rocky plateaus, the
Earth remains our home. As another sun sets and another sun rises,
another day begins. The sea, the land, the mountains,
all parts of our home.

The colors of this world fade with time.
But for know, the world, and all its adventures wait.
So use the time you have and make it an experience to remember.

For the will to live and the desire to explore knows no bounds, nor rest.
It is one world we live in, may it never change, and may it never change us.
Our world, the giver and taker of life.

I think your poem was very meaningful and had a majestic sense of imagery. I could see your descriptions and greatly admire your writing technique.

Well done.

Great poem. I wrote one similar called "Awe of Earth." You should check out mine and compare styles. I like yours a lot, very political.

The earth neither gives life nor takes it but that is Gods doing.
