HOW DO YOU HANDLE CONFLICT?

Contributed by lovingcritters on Wednesday, 14th July 2010 @ 03:57:49 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU CONFLICT

After living a whole life time, this much I know
When life hands you conflict, "Look it right
in the face! That's my motto.
Face life "Head-On," then "Hang-On!"
Don't pass go, without life's free coupon.

***

It will state, "You might be scared, but
do it anyway!"
You might even be agitated when faced
with conflict or disagreement each day.
"Accept" is the magic word, for
conflict is inescapable.
Conflict is a part of our lives,
approach it calmly, be cheerful.

***

Getting all worked-up defeats your purpose
Think in terms of resolution, and be flexible,
not anxious.
Be honest, forthright, reasonable
When the other side realizes you're trying to
find a solution, they'll be more agreeable.

“Nothing is given to man on earth - struggle is built into the nature of life,
and conflict is possible - the hero is the man who lets no obstacle
prevent him from pursuing the values he has chosen.”
