A loaf and cheese can be ours dear

As we walk I’ll sing you a rhyme

Of handsome knights in olden time

When maiden’s care was theirs to hold

And showing might with fights all bold

Come be with me the time is prime

If you want.

This had such a classic feel to it
Of life moving at a pleasant leisurely pace
A picnic on a beautiful sunny day, a time for simple pleasures !

I love this romantic poem. It is classic and captures romance perfectly. Beautiful flow.
