[bodytext] => Tormenting screams and condemning voices fill every morsel of their minds yet they sit in silence. Fearful of making a scene, for a scene means a consequence to frightening for words. Distraction of any kind is a blessing, even physical pain is a kind relief from the inner torment. Nicotine stained fingers attached to quaking hands beyond control as if attempting to give away the secret. Body odours seeping out of each pore wreaking of the rotting soul inside. Hair matted and tangled twisted around captured fragments of months of neglect. Eyes to the floor focusing on anything in a hope to somehow transmit there mind into a detached object and slip away for just a few seconds. A torrent of emotions rages through their veins riding the wave of adrenalin that insists they fight or take flight, however the unwritten rules states they must stay calm at all times. This is not merely a fleeting moment or even a passing phase, this is their entire existence living out each day, a horror film of infinite capacity. Drug infused sleep gives a false perception of peace. Inside closed eyes, still limbs and shallow breathing is a frantic attempt to claw their way back to consciousness as the nightmare persists. They can only watch reality through the dark windows of their eyes but they are detached from the safety of normality. They fantasise of ending it all bringing eternal peace and suicide becomes a safety net that gives them the only comfort to cling too.
