Who ignore me when I fall.
And its the charmer I tried to push away
Who knows me best of all.

You see it started all quite dastardly
The names, the swears, the lies.
And though the wound healed awkwardly
Here you are, to my surprise.

But then you saw me fall again.
You asked me if I cried.
I told you I just haven't stopped
Since the day my bestfriend died.

And since the day my bestfriend died
I just haven't been the same.
I've tried to heal, I've tried and tried,
But still I feel this pain.

The inspiring thing about you, charmer,
Is the fact you didn't go.
You told me to make new bestfriends
And here is something I now know:

No matter how many times I stumble
No matter how often I trip and tumble
It'll be the person I expect the least
Who comes to pick up every piece.
Though our healing's taken years,
And despite the words of all my peers,
It's that once forgotten seasonal friend
Who always stoops with hand to lend.

I think we can all relate to this phenomenon. When we are hurt time and time again, there is always someone there in the background, ready to help us. I love this poem.
