dancing at a card game
snoring during the sermon
you're not to blame

The map your parents gave you sucked
never got them anywhere, so you swear
50 years in the same house, SEE!
the only diamonds you got, despite callouses
are on the side of your glass
your befogged mind knows the truth
IT AINT YOU

The world out there is just plain wrong
stinks worse than last weeks socks
you only drink to please yourself
you're in control
you can't help if it lets you hide
while it ties you with a rope of sin and sand

Can't remember the ex-wives names
let alone them damn kids
they hated you
you didn't anything
maybe ignored them at home
you try to forget them
at the bottom of a bottle
since they're not
they were greedy
it's not your fault

It's not like you asked to be here
though you don't know where you are
you can't be blamed if you missed the bus
all you did was let go

So here you are
alone
again
no chance of winning
you don't have the tools
hell, you don't even have a wife
how can it be your fault

Yeah, yeah... you're fine
the has it in for you
the neighbors
they're all nothing but liars and thieves
none of your wives were any good to start with
for that matter, neither were your parents
nobody ever gave you anything
except maybe grief
yep, it's not your fault

The door's over here
the floor's down there
only reason you didn't use the first
was cause the other was closer
and it aint your fault. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 250 [topic] => 76 [informant] => reprobate [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => obsession )
