The way that you make me feel
The world’s longest novel
Could only briefly begin to describe it.

Soulmates are supposed to be a fairytale
Something one could only dream of.
A person who brings a smile to your face
Every time they inhabit your thoughts.

It happened all so fast
Almost to perfect to be real
Just the chance to say ‘goodnight’
Adds a perfect ending to the day

I only wish that I could see you
Stare into your radiant blue eyes
Hold you close in my arms
To say the words that explain it all.

It all seems too soon
To admit to something so strong
But deep down in my heart
I know you are the one for me.

It’s almost too hard to fight
The incessant desire to let you know
Those three words that change it all
They’re at the tip of my tongue every day.

This poem is to let you know
That I can’t fight it anymore
I’ve never been more sure of myself
In saying, for the first time, “I LOVE YOU!”
