The things it might do,
Could be the same for me, for you,
Those things we might say,
Have more meaning than yesterday.
This path that we've both chosen,
Ensures rich tapestries shall be woven.
This day you gave your heart away
Rain or shine I will stay.
The way the sun can taste,
Fingers clasping round your waist,
The places we choose to go,
Seeing more than I used to know,
Many moons that waxed, then waned,
Weren't meant to take away the pain,
The day you taught me it was mine,
The beginning of the rest of time.
