I would have loved to get on better with my daughter,it's fine now. This tells it like it was. [bodytext] => It is hard comming to terms with not knowing you.
Not knowing what you feel when waking to a new day
Or when sleep enters the fertile fields of your mind.
I know when I see you I am awkward, aloof and ever distant,
But how I long to hold you, to touch you
To feel your warm breath on my cheeks, to hear your little girl laughter.
And I long to trace with my fingers the outline of your smile
But always the thoughts are smoothered at scource.
The curse of the great British reserve sends me crazy
With the simple thought that your father can never find the right words to say.
And also the emotionaly lean years of city life is always lurking,
In the deep forests of my mind, always surprising me, always condemming me.
Sometimes as well I feel I need this reserve to protect me
From what you really think of me, but please, just flash me a smile
And I will be humbled by you. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 109 [topic] => 23 [informant] => cashfan1 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )

I shed a tear over this most emotional write. I'm deeply touched at how much you truly cared. Your daughter may be young, but one day she too will "feel" and like alittle kitten will be curious of "the real" you!
When she matures and has a mind of her own, then she will come to you all by herself, and yours to own!
I pray for you dear, that day will be soon.
In the meantime, go on loving her within your heart, she will meet your love forenoon!
Very touching indeed!~
Warm love,
consue
