fighting for our freedom
when God took them away.

They fight for our protection
to keep our country free.
I can't speak for the rest
that means a lot to me.

I know that it breaks a heart
to hear another soldier dies.
a nation that is mourning
a nation also cries.

Many strangers gather
to pay their last repects.
and families of the fallen
so happy to accept.

A woman holds her baby
as tears roll down her face.
as they fold the flag
they sing amazing grace.

This is to our soldiers
not one, but to all.
to all of those still fighting
to me you're ten feet tall.

We salute our fallen soldiers
for their families we pray.
fighting for our freedom
when God took them away.

They fight for our protection
to keep our country free.

Not only are you a talented writer, you possess a beautiful soul. It is so kind of you to write this piece of poetry on Memorial day. I know that if a Soldier reads this, it will touch his or her heart, just as it has touched mine.
