Searching for a reason
Leaves were falling to the ground
As it was the lonely season.

But there came across this angel
Who had no joy of living
Her voice was shy just like her eyes
She was lost like she had no meaning.

I took her by the hand and gave her roses,
I kissed her lips and held her tight
There was a sea of joy
That had grown inside our heart.

But time has passed as it always does
And she has learned alot
She promised me eternal love
But it seems that she forgot...

I dragged you out from the shadow
While I left my soul to rot,
I turned your wasted tears to iron
You grew strong and I feared not.

But it was to come as I refused to see
You grew wings and horns and turned black
Oh, had I know my guardian angel
Would run away and turn her back...

The voices told me, still I didn't listen
That eyes of beauty lure to pain
That life can be consumed or drained
By demons that seek to kill in vain.

As she rose her wings and turned to fly
Twards Gomorrah where she'd sell her life
I was tied in chains of steel
And couldn't pray against her will.

I haven't had my heart for long
All my yearnings are now gone
Enslaved in chains to a heavy stone
Still don't know where I belong.

As she settled in the darkness
My shadow was not near her soul
She would feed on meere emotions
She would start to feel the cold.

Black feathers fell off her wings
And weakened was her soul,
But she kept on moving
Twards the end of a painful road.

As I struggled in my chains
Infernal hate had grown inside
I frowned at the world and swore to live
There's no room for suicide

I dragged along the stone of the past
I learned to live with a burden on my back
My whole being turned to steel
Not my bones nor soul would crack

A place I once named heaven
Has turned to vengeful hell
Memories would carve my soul
I had to run and find my goal.

As I moved twards a forgotten land
And carried along my heavy stone
Through the winds and piercing sand
A whisper reached my ears: "I feel alone"

I closed my eyes and listened once more
Her voice kept saying :"I feel alone"
she kept crying and implore
But time had closed the door.

As her words vanished into the air
My chains have faded and my scars were healed
The stone was there no more
And I kept moving faster than I've tried before. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 334 [topic] => 13 [informant] => horia [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 11 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

this piece is beautiful, well written, coherent, consistent with the title. the rhyming is beautiful too. the imagery is beautiful and it ran through out the whole poem.
i found that your rhyme scheme is inconsistent and a few typo errors, it could be just me any way.
your piece is beautiful, i love it. keep it coming
