Array ( [sid] => 160250 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Thankfulness [time] => 2010-05-30 11:49:22 [hometext] => I wrote this poem for my mother who is ill [bodytext] => Is gratefulness the same as being thankful for I do not know?
I ponder this thought as I trudge alone in snow.
The sunrise comes on time each day just to set a tone. This moment will never be the same.
Joy or maybe tears come to me when I am quiet and alone.

How can I become the person You meant me to be?
I strive to do my best each day.
I pray never to learn how to deceive.

Such persons who suffer and meanwhile all the rest.
Never care or think to visit them.
Who wants to give their best?

As time passes, I ask to grasp more wisdom than the day before.
For when life ends, who is to say?
Do we pass through heavens door? [comments] => 4 [counter] => 185 [topic] => 48 [informant] => brenniewinters [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

So much depth of feeling in this and sincerity,some beautiful lines...... the sunrise comes on time each day just to set a tone..... How can I become the person you meant me to be.....and a questioning throughout looking as we all do for reassurance.I wish you peace
