He is the muse
of all my starry dream-filled nights
introducing me to heights
beyond that fundamental and proverbial
cloud nine

He has taught me much of a more gentle sway
the steady, slow beat of devoted composure
and other patient things
where my oracular heart, dripping liquid emotion,
takes wing

melting at his touch

I dream of a place removed of clocks
where time stands still
(alone, for us)
In all my pubescent days of transient love
his kind of heart lie unimaginable
in the reality of mine– uncatchable

It is the soft, whispered rain
washing sorrow and making life anew;
the refreshing flood of ardent emotion
bold and passionate in endless devotion

He is the wonder of which there is no equal
the pulse of my being, hurriedly guiding me
to destinations I had only dreamt of
in the willing garden of my heart;
now inclined and full bloom

Where time stands still, so much of life is about timing and then when the timing is right ironically we want time to stop!Softly the heart echos the sentiments of love, etching its bold declarations, and longing to be carried higher still, and Anna sighs again at another beautiful write x

When there is love in the air, that is most definitely the best kind of muse. This is damn great writing but my favorite part is this:

"In all my pubescent days of transient love
his kind of heart lie unimaginable
in the reality of mine– uncatchable "

Those words seem to say so much about how a dream can finally come true. Even more so for a person who may have even resigned themselves to the powerful possibility that true love does not really exist but comes to realize it truly does...finally.

Excellent writing, Achelois.
Smile!

Hi,

Everytime we (the poets) begin to pen our
emotions, we climb a ladder where the top is
lost in the clouds. Most of us finish before the
summit - some long before - and some just
short. You, my friend, never fail to sit on the
top rung, and then as many of your writings
will attest, you begin to build extensions!

Breathless!

Tommy

Gorgeous. Muses are such wonderful creatures. Thank you for letting us witness the birthing of your Muse; the beauty and pure love within this piece is heart-warming, and reminds the reader of their own instances with love. The last stanza held a particular timelessness for me. Thank you for sharing, once again. This is truly magnificent.

Oh Roxie, how I've missed you so... I see I've been missing out all the while I have been popping in and out of ypdc. In reading your work, I daresay you are your own muse. You have such an incredible gift. Your tongue speaks poetry, and your heart bleeds soulful emotion. I was intrigued by the title, and so I thought I would start from here.
