Array ( [sid] => 160118 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => On The Beach [time] => 2010-05-25 04:18:23 [hometext] => Gower is an area of wild coast line in west Wales,UK, this is a about a day on the beach. [bodytext] => In the seaweed shade the skyline lengthened
Until the horizon grew pale with the effort.
We sat on the sand under a venermous sun
And watched the surfers ride the cappochino froth of Gower waves,
Rising and falling like giant puppets controlled by a mad jerking hand.
We slept then to the sounds of the whispering sand,
The boom of the surf and baby like cry's of the gulls.
When we awoke my back had been branded by the hot iron of summer sun,
You rubbed in cream and unpacked our picnick lunch,
All the while your eyes, big and brown, let in the sky and sun.
I could see you were truely mesmerised by the roll of the waves
And as your eyes lingered at a point where sky meets sea,
The rocky cliffs with pointed fingers swaying in the haze, you were at peace.
And I could see in that moment the real you,
Free and happy, at one with sand, sky and sea,
And we were together at last, if only for that wild Gower moment.

Ive heard that the Gower is beautiful and for the fact that I have just sighed at the end of this with the satisfaction of having been taken to such a beautiful place just reiterates that for me, lovely write
