when the Witches and Warlocks take flight.
Stealing cookies and candy right from your house
as they soar through the shadows of night.

All the havoc they cause in each room as they sneak.
Not a sound nor a whisper they make.
Flying off on their brooms with your Halloween treats.
The wind howls as it snaps at their capes.

The Gremlins and Goblins rise up around two
through the cracks in the floor by your bed.
Breaking your toys and eating your food
leaving nightmares of sorrow and dread.

The sun is now rising with the cry of the crow
and the rooster sends his morning call.
The Witches, Warlocks and Goblins all have gone home
while the Gremlins stone eye watches all.

All Hollows Eve, another year past.
Let us now toast to the missing and dead.
With one leg of a spider, some dust and some ash........
And a freshly cut lock from your head! Applethoughtrotten, PLEASE: To help keep this site INTERACTIVE, please read and comment on at least 3 poems (other than yours) for each one you submit. All Hollows Eve, another year past.
Let us now toast to the missing and dead.
With one leg of a spider, some dust and some ash........
And a freshly cut lock from your head!
It makes it sound like some sort of ritual. Neat!
