Array ( [sid] => 160075 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => the man who whorships the sky [time] => 2010-05-23 09:29:15 [hometext] => this for everyone who works and lives in the city and longs for the times when they can escape in to the wilds of the country beneath wide open skys. [bodytext] => I know a man who worships the sky
He says he's a bird and like a bird he can fly.
He spreads his arms and says they're wings
hums a melody and softly sings
Like the first bird in the dawn
Like the first cry of a baby being born
And he wanders through the lonliness of a world deaf and blind
To the chaos that is gathering inside his fragile mind.
He clasp his hands and says a pray
Fixes the sky with a loving stare
Oh glory be Oh glory be!
We're one and the same sky and me.
And come the week end he'll head in to the hills to dream his dreams away,
A lone bird flirting with the sky and on the breeze he'll sway,
With the mighty eagle soaring kissing sky, caressing clouds
He thanks god he's far away from the chaotic city crowds.
And he lays there in worship of the endless sky
needing no artifical means in which to get his high.
And when he wakes up it's to the solitude coming down
Puting off for a moment more a return home to the town,
Sitting there in the twilight as the day comes to an end
Then bids farewell to his one and only true best friend.
And tomorow he'll greet the city streets with a rare and unconvincing smile,
Ignoring the places and the faces as he walks along the square mile.
Into the glass highrise block where sky is nothing more
Than dusty shadows dancing on the boardroom floor.
And if he makes it through another day he'll hang his head and sigh
Looking forward to the week end when he'll see his beloved sky.

Now I know a man who worships the sky
And he's a better man than you or I. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 126 [topic] => 21 [informant] => cashfan1 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Once again BRAVO!!!!!Your Title caught my attention right away! And as I read, I too could sway, looking toward the sky that is so beloved by this man. I felt the emotions, I felt the stand, when this man, loved the openness of the country land!
I'm wondering now, if that man may be you!!?!!
If he is, I wish you all different colored skies, and hope you are never without them, so you'll never be blue!
Enjoyed this so much
'Thank you for sharing this man with us!
Warm love
