In four days, time will stand still–
again.
Even the calm interest of water
with its innocuous ebb and flow,
could not remove this wall
indifference has built

Life crumbled inside your lies
and the edges of your compass swept me
blending all the colour
into a mud of confusion
(kisses could not hide your dishonour forever)

Did you not see through the laughter
that I never smiled?

Long stretches of excuse
locked every door to honesty
hiding behind your electrified fence of self-proclamation
And inside memory, where life is not encased in glass,
I find the past....
drenched in its own promise

Change only breeds more contempt...

It’s easy to believe the draw of a yielding heart–
it tears to commit you into the vault of confidence
Without thought, I broke to remain whole

Ego is a destination that curses the forest
just to lay claim to the trees
And I froze, unable to navigate self worth
(holding on was never an issue–
for me)

Love gets dissected;
preserved and murdered
by chemicals of indecision
until providence
is set ablaze without striking a match

And life no longer rests on a moment;
just one single strand of dignity

What a powerful and sad write that goes straight to the heart. There is a flood of emotion in your words and you cant help but feel every bit of it. Each line is written in splendid form that has your touch and tenderness attached to it.

"Without thought, I broke to remain whole"

I love that line. What another outstanding write!

U/E

the passage of time does not always help an anguished heart; somehow time only returns some pain, this is sad yet so beautiful, written as only you could say,

hugs n' love nessa

Did you not see through the laughter that I never smiled, trying to hold onto your dignity while all around you is crumbling, the devestation that is happening because your heart is breaking while in desperation you try to hang on to something that tells you you are going to be ok,beautifully descriptive, straight from the heart

Insert censored expletives here: (*^!)^&^

Wowness.

So, I'm thinking about the love being dissected and it made me think if love ever truly did exist in a person like this, does it also get infected? whatever my thought process, I'm thinking you have said it better than I ever could.

*applauds*

Tim

Siimply and well put..........BRAVO! more roses at your feet dear, how heartbreaking, and how fast a heart can melt when met with deceit, and apostasy. It's known as Defraud emotionally with the Capital "D"
I love your analogies so much......you are so gifted, and your talents lay dorment without your tricky and cunning pen to help you bring them forth in words we can all understand.
Wonderful, just simply Grand! I believe we've all been there.......if not Beware! There are millions walking around out there!!!
Must be happening frequently, I just posted a poem on "Integrity!" It's almost extinct!!!
Warm love
connie

You really put yourself into your writing and it shows! I always enjoy reading a work when i can tell that the author really put him/herself into it. Good job!

Hi,

Written from the heart. Poetry at its best - saying
much more than is written in each line.

''Love gets dissected; preserved and murdered by
chemicals of indecision.''

A complete story is told in those lines.

I know a masterpiece of writtng
when i see one, guess what? i
see one in front or me right now,
i love the depth in which you go
into while at the same time, you
keep it interesting but remarkably
real and intense, i got a true and
meaningful connection from your
literary masterpiece . . .

Thank you for your visit to my page,
you understood me, i'm just now
begining to explore my possibilities
as a writer but even more important,
i'm learning what it feels like to not
be ashamed to open up to others in
the same situation, thank you . . .
