To never have what all dreams bring
At once her breath, constrained love mad
Her kiss, the lover’s mortal sting…

As mother, lover, her God’s embrace
Seraphim grant as none shall give
Her breath of life, my soul doth race
To a given life that bequests to live

Enrapt a once lowly soul to keep
To show what is and what could be
Such plunder a fortunate sort may reap
If wondrous dreams are set free

Once a stir from a death-like slumber
To wake to thoughts I must encumber
